Frequently asked questions

Find out more about how Mishkan Wellbeing Coaching helps you navigate anxiety, chronic stress, anger, unexplained health issues, and recovery in a safe and supportive environment.

What does trauma-informed wellbeing coaching mean?

Being trauma-informed means understanding how difficult past experiences can shape how our nervous systems respond, feel, and attempt self-protection. Rather than seeing symptoms such as rage, overwhelm, low energy or anxiety as being 'broken' or 'bad', we recognise them as natural survival responses. My focus is entirely on ensuring you feel safe, heard, respected, and firmly in control of your journey.

Will I be forced to talk about painful past memories?

No. You are always in control of what you share. We focus on how your body and nervous system are currently responding to stress, untreatable symptoms, or anxiety. You will never be pushed to re-live traumatic events, and our work prioritises safety and stability in the present.

Can coaching help me get better from unexplained or ongoing health issues?

Coaching supports recovery by addressing bodily tension, nervous system dysregulation, and coping strategies that contribute to chronic symptoms, stress, and anxiety. While coaching is not a medical diagnosis or treatment, restoring balance and addressing underlying stress patterns creates the vital conditions needed for genuine healing.

How do I know if coaching is right for me instead of therapy?

A free discovery call will help determine if coaching is the right fit for your present needs. If we decide to proceed and after your first session you feel coaching is not the suitable path for you, a partial refund of your payment can be processed.

What should I expect during an online session?

Every session is held remotely via video link in a gentle, conversational format. We explore your current challenges, identify coping patterns, and develop compassionate practical strategies to soothe your nervous system and support ill-health recovery.

How should I prepare my space for our session?

Please ensure you are in a quiet, private room with no disturbances. We recommend arriving online a few minutes early so you can settle in comfortably. Please have a notepad, a pen, and a glass of water readily to hand.

What if I am concerned about whether I can afford coaching?

I understand that investing in your wellbeing is a significant decision. Transparent package options are available, and I am happy to discuss payment arrangements during your discovery call to find a path that fits your circumstances.

What issues can we address during our coaching sessions?

We work with a variety of interrelated physical and emotional challenges, including chronic stress, anxiety, overwhelm, rage, insomnia, recovery from illness, and ongoing or unexplained physical health issues where stress plays a role.
